Sennheiser headphones had the incorrect barcode printed on the packaging in Tesco stores nationwide. This was having a devastating effect on sales during the busy Christmas trading period. Contact Field Marketing was engaged to re-barcode the packaging using barcode stickers which were supplied by Sennheiser.
How we executed the campaign
Our field team located the headphones on the shop floor and in the warehouse, re-barcoded the products in a specific way, restocked shelves and reported any un-barcoded items once they had used up all the correct bar code stickers allocated to that particular store.
Our field staff visited 668 Tesco stores and successfully re-barcoded the Sennheiser headphones allowing sales to increase during this busy period. A lack of stock was also identified this information and other feedback and photographs were supplied to Sennheiser on a daily basis via our reporting system.
