Tesco selected Contact Field Marketing to manage the implementation of their new Point of Sale within the frozen food section of Tesco Extra Stores throughout the UK.
The teams were required to remove all of the old POS and replace it with the new range during the night to prevent disruption in stores during key trading hours.
The reports needed to be collated & formatted via our bespoke reporting software, then delivered into Tesco’s hands for campaign completion.
How we executed the campaign
As we often do on major campaigns, several of our head office staff attended a specialist Tesco test site and conducted a test removal and placement of the Point of Sale under guidance of a Tesco staff trainer.
We were then able to accurately assess the campaign requirements, and regurgitate the technicals comprehensively to our team of hundreds of staff while ensuring every single person had a competent team leader who was experienced in handling these sorts of campaigns.
The Point of Sale was sited by specialist teams working for 8 hours per store throughout the nights of the campaign, any issues staff had were called into head office where we used our resourcefulness and extensive database of backup staff to assist in any issues.
The teams recorded the placement using the client web portal taking a variety of photographs to ensure compliance to Tesco’s high standards.
New Point of Sale was sited in all stores and work was completed within the scheduled time frame. Tesco were able to check progress of the campaign daily; viewing photographs on the web-portal in real time for peace of mind that the campaign would be completed on time and to a high standard.
